Speaking Truth & Walking in the Light (Part 5)

(Braking the Darkness)

Spirit of God that rose Jesus, God's Son, from the dead? If you do not believe then please be open and just hear the testimony of God moving within the last 5 days.

In this season right now God has me mentoring the sophomore guys at the college I went to from 2008-2011. Everyday this week has been a different side of the Holy Spirit inside me that I have not really seen very much in my life. I have witnessed some within the last 5 years (started believing in Jesus then) or herd stories of other people but this was just another side not yet witnessed day-to-day.

On Friday 10/21/2011

During the sleep from Thursday to Friday I had a dream that was demonically influenced and from the intensity of the dream it caused me to wake up. When I woke I felt the presence of demons or evil spirits in the room (whatever you would like to call it). From the oppression (fear) that I could fill on me, I knew it was not of the Lord. Cause the Lord doesn’t cause condemnation or fear, Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is no condemnation in those who are in Christ Jesus.” I started singing about/to God and His power and after a minute or so of that I was able to move and get out of my bed to start proclaiming Jesus, to show the demons that I am not afraid of them. I could not move out of my bed because the oppression or fear was think enough that my physical body could not move. Telling the demons that Christ reigns in this place and His Holy Spirit lives in me and He has given me the authority the cast you out, so begone. Proclaiming truth like this in these moments is SO crucial because Satan and his minions live and speak in lies, everything against God! I let my roommate go back to sleep and went to the living room to seek the Lord and proclaiming freedom over the dorm. They did not leave immediately I still could fill the oppression for an hour or so. They will do anything and everything to try to make you fear them.

I share this not to boast or give glory to the powers of darkness. I share this to let you know that there is battle going on, ragging. Demons and Satan are doing whatever they can to keep us thinking they are winning! When fighting, God gives us he strength to fight. Its funny cause in all reality He is fighting for us because we are using the authority that He gives us.

Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Satan wants us to keep completely ignorant in this matter. Thinking, ‘Oh, this stuff isn’t real.’ or ‘This is all in your head.’ or ‘Dude, your just on drugs!’ or ‘This stuff only happens in movies.’ If you think that or along those line, I would encourage you to ask yourself ‘Why, do I believe that?’. Not saying to go calling on evil spirits but to cautiously ask God to help you see truth, fill and hear with your spiritual eyes and ears.

Ephesians 2:17-18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

Speaking Truth & Walking in the Light (Part 4)

On Thursday 10/20/2011:

Before dinner after me and the other guy mentors hung out I took like a 20 min. nap before dinner. When I fell asleep (it was on of those sleeps that you think after you woke up its been hours and you totally didn't hear your alarm, but in all reality you actually wake up before your alarm going off.) I LOVE THESE NAPES, THERE SWEET, don't you?! While I was sleeping I had a dream that my parents where over me and my dad was crying while my mom was holding my hand. My dad asks, 'Do you want to get healed?' and I answer 'Yes, I do!' He then crabs my hand that my mom was holding and she puts her hands in her lap and says 'Lets pray then!' Right after he said that I wake and I felt in my left hand (which was the hand my dad was hold) like someones hand was in my palm cause my hand was facing up on my chest, palm up. A real embrace and warmth from a hand that was thinker then mine. You know how when you hold or shake someones hand that has worked with his hands for a while and their hand's muscles are bigger and you can kind of like squeeze it a little and not fill bone? It was like holding a hand of a landscaper or carpenter. Well thats what it was like! SUPER COMFORTING! I FULLY BELIEVE THAT JESUS WAS HOLDING MY HAND! Reassuring me that He will heal me. (I know this was from the Lord because of the real-ity [how real it was along with the peacefulness of it and comfort] of the dream)

This week has been really cool stuff. I don't know about you but I know and believe in the Holy Spirit. Who is the Spirit of God that rose Jesus, God's Son, from the dead? If you do not believe then please be open and just hear the testimony of God moving within the last 5 days.

On Wednesday 10/19/2011:

I found out that one of my friends that lives on the floor above us got healed from his tooth problem. He was having a tooth problem along with some pain. He asked his brother to pray for him and the pain went away and all the fillings in his mouth turned to gold. They were some sort of silver before hand but now they are gold! CRAZY RIGHT! I didn't really agree with this stuff when hearing stories or reading about it. But the thing is, what limits God from doing this? What shows that this is not from Him? In John 21:25 it says, "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." Witnessing situations like this are new to me also but I believe that God really wants to show us Himself. For so long Satan has had a vail over my face and has deceived me that God does not do things anymore like what happen when Jesus walked the earth. Thinking that miracules and signs of wonderful awesomeness left when Christ left to return to the right hand of the Father. But again in John 14:11-12 Jesus says, "Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father."

Speaking Truth & Walking in the Light (Part 2)

(Growth being tended by the Father Himself!)

On Tuesday 10/18/2011:

In the evening I went to this ministry called Teen Challenge (Click the word to check it out) with of the guys from the sophomore class. From Tuesday-Thursday they were having a gathering singing to the Lord, sharing stories about how God came and helped them and meet them right where they were, and encouraged each other! After singing and dancing for God's awesome work in our lives a guy came up by the name of Dave who said he herd the Lord saying during the time of showing our thankfulness, 'There was a person in the room with a hip problem and they were not a student (a person in the program or ministry), they were a visitor." While listening to this I'm thinking, 'God I pray that person will get healed.' Right after I thought that it hit me that I have a hip problem and I'm a visitor! So, near the end of the time of the serves I go and find Dave and tell him that I'm the hip man you talked about. He goes okay let pray for you and when him, Matthew and Amanda (the people I came with) prayed nothing really happened. Not really that disappointing because I have prayer for my whole back to be healed for the past 3 years and have seen improvement but nothing miraculous. So, he has me sit down on a chair and I stretch out my legs parallel with each other and we saw my right leg was shorter than the leg. He prayed and asked Jesus to bring the legs into alignment with each other and WITH ALL HONESTY and WITH 3 OTHER PEOPLE AS WITNESS (other than me) MY RIGHT LEG GROWS AND MEETS UP WITH THE LEFT. NO JOKING! Never I have had that happen to me before. Then I stand up and slowly my hips start to fill a little irritated because of the leg growing. Then I start to share with Dave my history of seizures which is the reason my back is the way it is. After sharing he said, 'Lets pray for that too.' When praying for me I felt really light and fell over not even a minute into the prayer. I laid there on my face for about 10 min. or so and the Lord was just ministering to my back, filling like marshmallows where messaging my back. To be honest my back is not fully restored to what it should be but the Lord has given me confidence in that it will and He is bringing it!

Speaking Truth & Walking in the Light (Part 1)

This week has been really cool stuff. I don't know about you but I know and believe in the Holy Spirit. Who is the Spirit of God that rose Jesus from death, His Son. If you do not believe then please be open and just hear the testimony of God moving within the last 5 days.
In this season right now God has me mentoring the sophomore guys at the college I went to from 2008-2011. Everyday this week has been a different side of the Holy Spirit inside me that I have not really seen very much in my life. I have witnessed some within the last 5 years (started believing in Jesus then) or herd stories of other people but this was just another side not yet witnessed day-to-day.

On Monday 10/17/2011:

During the time that the sophomore guys meet (we meet every Monday night from 8-10pm to talk about life and have fun). One of the guys felt a heaviness from the Lord that he should share what God put on his heart about this guy on campus and to pray for him. (He also invited other guys that were around to come and join us. There was about 16 of us.) After he shared what was on heart, we had a time of speaking to God and asking Him "To please have Your way and may Satan not take our brother." (whatever that may look like) Also expressing this is what we would like also. Just being honest before the Lord as a group of guys. The Holy Spirit had a more deeper plans then just talking with the Lord about his guy. It turned into a time of repentance, confession, healing and restoration. We are talking about guys, men who want to be men of God and are willing to let Him come in to lead them in the path that He has planned for them (me too). There was lots of crying, hugging, encouragement, speaking truth into one another lives, and being there for one another like what family is for. By the time this ended about two hours there was joy, restoration, and love pouring off all the faces of the men in that room. It was AWESOME and God is still doing work in our lives to align our heart with His. Never have I seen or witnessed a group of guys crying out to the Lord for on another, repenting, and desiring God to take over in their lives.
